The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced that January 20 is the last date to apply for a postal ballot for the by-election in constituency PP-167 Lahore-XXII.
According to an ECP spokesperson, the postal ballot facility is available to government employees, Pakistan Army officers and soldiers along with their family members, and persons with disabilities holding a NADRA disability card.
Applicants are required to submit their postal ballot applications to the concerned Returning Officer. The postal ballot application form can be downloaded from the Election Commission’s official website.
The ECP spokesperson clarified that voters who obtain a postal ballot will not be eligible to cast their vote at polling stations. It was further stated that all applications must be duly verified by the relevant departmental office to be considered valid.
