Irfan Hayat Bajwa Wins Lahore Bar Association Presidential Election

The results of the Lahore Bar Association elections have been announced. Irfan Hayat Bajwa, running on Hamid Khan’s group ticket, won the presidential seat with 3,559 votes. His closest competitor, Adeeb Aslam Bhinder from Asma Jahangir’s group, received 3,154 votes, while independent candidate Shahid Jamal Butt secured 122 votes.

Following his victory, newly elected President Irfan Hayat Bajwa told supporters that promises made to lawyers during the election campaign would be fulfilled.

In the other key positions, Mian Tahir Munir and Humayun Zaheer Bhatti won the posts of Vice President, with Zahid Mehmood Gul winning the Cantonment seat and Asif Kanwal Khan taking the Model Town seat.

Malik Fahad Nisar was elected Secretary with 4,210 votes, Samina Basra secured the Joint Secretary position with 4,251 votes, and Zohaib Khan won the Finance Secretary post with 4,973 votes.

Additionally, Nauman Goraya was elected Library Secretary with 1,865 votes. Supporters of the winning candidates celebrated in the Lahore Bar premises, dancing to traditional drum beats.
