Pakistan Navy Successfully Tests LY-80N Air Defense Missile in North Arabian Sea Exercise

The Pakistan Navy conducted a comprehensive naval exercise in the North Arabian Sea, during which the LY-80N air defense missile was successfully test-fired, hitting its designated target. According to ISPR, the Pakistan Navy demonstrated an impressive level of combat readiness during the exercise by employing modern and unmanned systems. The LY-80N missile successfully destroyed an aerial target at long range.

During the exercise, surface targets were successfully engaged using loitering munitions. Open-sea trials of an unmanned surface vessel (USV) were also completed successfully. The USV demonstrated high speed, superior control, and effective performance under harsh weather conditions. Commander Pakistan Fleet observed the exercise. Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, praised the professional skills of officers and sailors and stated that the Pakistan Navy remains fully committed to defending the country’s maritime borders under all circumstances.
