Karachi (Bureau Report):
A joint strategy has been agreed upon to further improve law and order along the Sindh-Balochistan borders. The meeting was held between Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, with Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gillani and Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider in attendance. Also present were KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore.
During the meeting, both chief ministers discussed the national economy, as well as political and social issues, and reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation between Sindh and Balochistan.
Murad Ali Shah stated that the economy is moving in the right direction and its benefits will reach the people, but sustainable economic growth is not possible without political stability. He added that public confidence is being restored through government policies.
The Balochistan Chief Minister said that effective coordination among security agencies has led to a noticeable reduction in crime. The Senate Chairman discussed various legislations and parliamentary matters. The meeting also included consultations on strengthening the organizational and political activities of the Pakistan Peoples Party in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
