Establishment of Risk Analysis Unit at FIA Gujranwala Zone

The Gujranwala Zone of FIA recently hosted a joint delegation from International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), the Delegation of the European Union to Pakistan, and the Embassy of Hungary during their visit to the Gujranwala Zone.

During the visit, the Director FIA Gujranwala Zone, Muhammad Bin Ashraf briefed the delegation on sustained and targeted efforts of Gujranwala zone to curb irregular migration.

A key highlight of the visit was the delegation’s tour of the newly established Zonal Risk Analysis Unit at Gujranwala, developed with the support of the European Union and ICMPD. The zonal unit is a major milestone in strengthening data-driven risk profiling, early detection of illegal migration trends at the zonal level.

The delegation appreciated the pivotal role played by Gujranwala Zone in the considerable progress made by FIA nationwide to prevent illegal migration and dismantle associated criminal networks.

During the visit, Director also apprised the delegation of key institutional advancements currently underway within FIA, including the digitisation of the Case Management System.
