Mishal Husain Malik has strongly criticized the sentencing of Aasia Andrabi, describing it as an attack on the honor of Kashmiri women. In a statement released on Friday, she emphasized that Aasia Andrabi is not just an individual but a symbol of resistance and steadfastness.

Mishal Husain Malik asserted that the Modi government cannot break the spirit of the Kashmiri people through prisons or oppressive laws. She said that the struggle of Kashmiri women, many of whom have been detained in false cases, will continue.

She further condemned the use of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), calling it a tool to suppress freedom of speech and the right to self-determination. “Every act of oppression and every sentence only strengthens the resolve of Kashmiris,” she said, highlighting the complicity of the international community’s silence in the ongoing suffering of Kashmiris.

Malik concluded that the struggle of Aasia Andrabi and other imprisoned women is becoming part of history, and the Kashmiri people’s fight for justice and freedom will continue until their aspirations are achieved.
