Ayatollah Khamenei Holds Trump, Israel Responsible for Violent Protests in Iran

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has directly blamed U.S. President Donald Trump for the violent protests sweeping the country. In a statement, Khamenei said that the recent deaths, damages, and attempts to defame the Iranian people were orchestrated by Trump, claiming he was personally involved in the unrest.

Khamenei further alleged that agents linked to Israel and the U.S. caused large-scale destruction during the protests, resulting in thousands of deaths. “We will not drag the country into a war, but international and domestic criminals will not go unpunished,” he warned.

Meanwhile, the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that the peaceful protests were turned violent by Zionist-backed terrorists and asserted that there is irrefutable evidence of Israeli involvement in the violence and terrorism. The ministry emphasized that national security will be defended against externally sponsored terrorism.
