Islamabad Issues 166,888 M-Tags as Operations Continue Against Untagged Vehicles

A total of 166,888 vehicles in the federal capital Islamabad have successfully been issued M-Tags, the district administration announced on Sunday. Authorities stated that operations against untagged vehicles are ongoing across the city, with fully functional readers installed at various checkpoints to identify vehicles without M-Tags.

The installation of M-Tags continues at 17 booth points in different areas. In the past 24 hours, 3,130 vehicles have been issued M-Tags. DG Excise Irfan Nawaz Memon said that the 26 Number Chowngi and 18-Mile M-Tag centers are operational 24/7, while counters at Kachnar Park and F-9 Park provide services until midnight.

DG Excise urged citizens to get their M-Tags installed as soon as possible to avoid legal complications and reminded that vehicles without M-Tags are being stopped at various checkpoints.
