The Walima ceremony of Junaid Safdar, grandson of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, was held at Sharif Farms in Jati Umra, Raiwind. The event was attended by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, federal and provincial ministers, and other prominent political and social figures.
The groom, Junaid Safdar, arrived at the ceremony hand-in-hand with his bride, Shanze Ali Roohail. The groom wore a white shalwar paired with a gray sherwani, while the bride was dressed in a pink bridal outfit.
The wedding venue was decorated with flowers matching the bride’s attire, and musicians filled the air with beautiful melodies throughout the event. Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and the groom himself welcomed the guests.
The invitation card for the Walima was issued on behalf of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the late Kulsoom Nawaz, and nearly 800 guests were invited. Field Marshal and Chief of Defence Forces, Army Chief Syed Asim Munir, also attended and sat alongside Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, offering their congratulations to the Sharif family on the occasion.
