Senate Approves Bill to Crack Down on Black Magic Mafia Across Pakistan

The federal government has decided to launch a crackdown against individuals and groups involved in black magic practices across the country. To tighten the noose around this so-called mafia, a bill has been approved to take legal action against those exploiting citizens through such fraudulent activities.

Under the new law, police will initiate legal proceedings against anyone involved in practicing or promoting black magic. The offense will carry a punishment ranging from six months to seven years of imprisonment.

The Senate has approved amendments to the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), under which a new section, 297-A, has been added. This amendment specifically addresses the prevention of black magic and related deceptive practices.

According to the bill, anyone found guilty of practicing or advertising black magic will face imprisonment from six months up to seven years, along with a fine of up to Rs1 million.

In addition to this legislation, the Senate also passed a bill related to the federal curriculum and textbooks. This bill was presented by Senator Ainee Mari.
