On the occasion of Global Education Day, Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, stated that the day reminds us of the importance of building a conscious and strong nation. She emphasized that education is the most effective tool for eradicating poverty and empowering women.
In a message issued by BISP on Saturday, Senator Rubina Khalid highlighted that educational scholarship programs are at the forefront of government initiatives to promote education. She stressed that girls’ education is the key to Pakistan’s bright future. She added that the Government of Pakistan is committed to ensuring equal access to education, and through Benazir Educational Scholarships, millions of children continue their educational journeys.
Senator Rubina Khalid further stated that an educated generation lays the foundation for an independent and prosperous Pakistan. She noted that Global Education Day is a day to renew the commitment to promoting education. Through educational assistance, BISP empowers deserving families, enabling the education of millions of children. She concluded that investing in education is, in fact, investing in the nation’s future.
