One of Three Properties of PTI Founder and Co-Accused in Al-Qadir Trust Case Auctioned
In a significant development related to the NAB reference against former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan, one of the three properties linked to the absconding accused in the Al-Qadir Trust case has been successfully auctioned.
Among the accused is Farah Gogi, whose 405-kanal agricultural land located in Mohra Noor, Bani Gala, was auctioned at a price of Rs. 3.42 million per kanal. The auction was conducted in the presence of Assistant Commissioner Secretariat Uzair Ali Khan and other committee members.
However, no bids were received for the other two properties — a 16-kanal motel plot located on Club Road and 248 kanals of agricultural land. Although the auction was scheduled to start at 11:00 AM, the auction committee arrived significantly late at 5:39 PM.
Earlier, the Assistant Commissioner Secretariat had issued a public notice for the auction, stating that it would be held under a NAB reference at Union Council Bhara Kahu. The properties up for auction included 248 kanals and 8 marlas, along with 405 kanals and 3 marlas of land.
As per the auction notice, participants were required to submit a pay order of Rs. 5 million in favor of the NAB Chairman. Interested parties were allowed to visit the properties prior to the auction, with the local patwari assigned to provide necessary details.
Despite the public announcement, reports indicate that no potential buyer showed up to participate in the auction. The auction committee’s delayed arrival further added to the lackluster proceedings. Nonetheless, one of the properties was successfully sold, marking a key moment in the ongoing legal proceedings related to the Al-Qadir Trust case.
