Islamabad (Staff Reporter) :
Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, attended a special ceremony held at Capital Hospital in celebration of Pakistan’s Independence Day and in honor of “Ma’araka-e-Haq” (Battle of Truth).
The event was attended by CDA Member Administration & Estate Talat Mehmood, Executive Director of Capital Hospital Dr. Naeem Taj, CBA General Secretary Ch. Muhammad Yaseen, along with a large number of paramedical staff, hospital administration, and citizens.
Chairman Randhawa participated in the national anthem and flag hoisting ceremony, followed by a special prayer for Pakistan’s unity, sovereignty, and stability. He emphasized the government’s united efforts in celebrating this year’s 14th August with full enthusiasm, noting that various departments — including Islamabad Administration, law enforcement agencies, CDA, Capital Hospital, DMA, and MCI — are working collectively with passion and dedication.
He highlighted that multiple Independence Day events are being organized throughout Islamabad with full zeal. “We have decorated not just the VIP areas but every neighborhood of Islamabad like a bride,” he said. He added that Islamabad, already a green and beautiful city, has been further adorned with decorative lighting and public events such as a cycling race at D-Chowk and various sports competitions.
Randhawa appreciated the active participation of civil society and the business community in decorating shopping centers and commercial hubs. He remarked, “Together, we are sending a clear message of unity and national pride. With the recent global recognition of our cause and the sacrifices made in Operation Baniyan-ul-Marsous, we are proud to honor our martyrs and veterans who earned us respect worldwide.”
Concluding his address, he offered prayers for the nation’s prosperity and pledged that he and his team are ready to sacrifice everything for the country’s progress. He also invited families to actively participate in the celebrations across venues like F-9 Park and the Sports Complex, assuring them of a safe and secure environment.
He warned that any attempts to disrupt the peaceful celebrations, particularly individuals causing disturbances with loud music or harassing families, would be dealt with strictly.
