In line with the direction of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the anti-encroachment operation in Saidpur Model Village is being vigorously pursued. So far, 210 out of 370 kanals of illegally occupied estate land in Saidpur Model Village have been completely reclaimed from illegal occupants. The objective of the anti-encroachment operation is to ensure the complete elimination of illegal constructions and encroachments in Saidpur Model Village. The operation is being supervised by Deputy Director General Enforcement, Dr. Anam.
The operation to remove encroachments in Saidpur Model Village continued on Thursday, with strong actions taken against encroachers. During Thursday’s operations, 11 illegal residential houses and 12 shop structures were demolished using heavy machinery.
According to details, 210 out of 370 kanals of estate land in the Saidpur area have been completely reclaimed so far through the anti-encroachment operations.
The Enforcement Wing has been directed to collect data on all illegal constructions that have not been vacated despite the issuance of notices, to ensure the complete eradication of illegal encroachments in the Saidpur area.
The CDA administration said that operations against illegal occupants will continue consistently in the coming days to completely free Saidpur’s estate land from all illegal encroachments, thereby enhancing the city’s beauty and planned development.
Earlier, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Saidpur Model Village and reviewed the ongoing anti-encroachment operations. He also assessed the progress of the upgradation and beautification work and directed that indiscriminate action against illegal constructions and encroachments in Saidpur Village should continue. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that outlets of renowned national food chains will be established here, which will not only create new employment opportunities but also enhance the beauty of Islamabad, particularly the area, and provide citizens with a new recreational spot. He emphasized that all resources will be utilized to develop Saidpur Village into a world-class recreational center.
In this regard, the CDA administration has appealed to citizens to fully cooperate with the authority in the anti-encroachment campaign and to immediately report any illegal encroachments to the relevant formation.
