Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), Hilal-e-Jurat, undertook a significant visit to Turbat, Balochistan, to assess the current security landscape, development initiatives, and to reinforce civil-military coordination for the province’s long-term stability and prosperity.
According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday, the visit was marked by the presence of key provincial leaders, including the Chief Minister of Balochistan and the Chief Secretary, among other senior officials.

The Army Chief was given a detailed briefing on the region’s security dynamics, ongoing threat assessments, and successful counter-operations against destabilizing elements — particularly those linked to hostile foreign agendas, referred to as “Fitna-e-Hindustan.” The briefing also covered infrastructure development and ongoing socio-economic uplift projects aimed at improving the quality of life in South Balochistan.
During discussions with the Chief Minister and civil administration representatives, Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized the importance of good governance, robust infrastructure, and people-centric development. He reiterated the critical need for strong civil-military cooperation to effectively address the challenges facing the province.

Reaffirming the Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment, the COAS pledged full support to all initiatives aimed at achieving peace, prosperity, and sustainable growth in Balochistan. He highlighted that the development and security of the province are integral to Pakistan’s overall progress.
In his interaction with the troops, Field Marshal Munir praised their high morale, operational readiness, and dedication to safeguarding national sovereignty. He commended their role in maintaining peace and stability under challenging conditions.
Earlier, upon his arrival in Turbat, the Army Chief was warmly received by the Corps Commander Balochistan.
