Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar held a bilateral meeting with Malaysian Foreign Minister Dato’ Seri Mohamad Hasan on the sidelines of the 21st Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.
In a message shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Ishaq Dar stated that the meeting focused on the dire situation in Gaza, where both sides expressed deep concern over the ongoing humanitarian crisis. They underscored the urgency of ensuring unhindered humanitarian aid and called for an immediate and lasting ceasefire to pave the way for sustainable peace in the region.
The Deputy Prime Minister also fondly recalled his productive visit to Kuala Lumpur in July for the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting, appreciating Malaysia’s successful hosting of the event and the warm hospitality extended by Malaysian leadership.
During the meeting, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening high-level engagement, trade and economic cooperation, and people-to-people ties to deepen the already close brotherly relations between Pakistan and Malaysia.
