Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has praised the employees of the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) for donating their one-day salary—amounting to Rs. 20 million—for the relief of flood-affected citizens.
In a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing on Friday, the Prime Minister lauded the gesture as a commendable and exemplary act of solidarity during a time of national hardship.
“The LESCO employees have set a noble and inspiring example by donating their one-day salary to help those impacted by the floods,” the Prime Minister stated. “In this time of adversity, such acts reflect the spirit of unity and compassion that defines our nation.”
He reiterated the government’s commitment to standing with all flood victims and assured that every possible resource is being mobilized to address their needs and challenges.
