ISLAMABAD CRIME REPORTER
In a dramatic development in the alleged abduction and intimidation case involving TikToker Samia Hijab, the Islamabad police arrested the primary suspect, Hassan Zahid, after his bail was rejected by the court in the abduction case filed at Shalimar Police Station.
Following the bail rejection, police also added Zahid’s arrest in a second case, related to threats and snatching of cash. During court proceedings, police requested 8-day physical remand in the abduction case, but Judicial Magistrate Yasir Mehmood Chaudhry sent the accused on judicial remand to jail. However, the court approved a 2-day physical remand in the second FIR involving threats and extortion.
The prosecution told the court that they intend to recover a mobile phone, V8 vehicle, and a weapon from the accused, and that Zahid’s identification is essential to apprehend other suspects involved.
The defense counsel argued that Hassan Zahid was engaged to the complainant, Samia Hijab, and at the time of the second FIR’s alleged incident, he was staying at a rest house.
So far, two separate FIRs have been registered against Hassan Zahid at Shalimar Police Station, raising serious legal troubles for the accused as investigations continue.
