Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has praised the efforts of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, as well as the leadership of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir, for their active role in relief operations during the recent floods.
In a post shared on the social media platform X on Friday, the Prime Minister lauded Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s dedication and effective response in managing the flood crisis in Punjab. He also acknowledged the relentless efforts of the leadership in other provinces and regions, describing their commitment as “commendable.”
The Prime Minister noted that the natural disaster has created immense challenges and hardships across the country. However, he highlighted the extraordinary resilience shown by Pakistani farmers, laborers, women, and children, stating that the nation does not shy away from adversity.
PM Shehbaz Sharif further stated that he has directed the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the Ministry of Climate Change, and all relevant federal departments to remain on high alert and ensure full cooperation in any emergency situation.
