Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, paid visit to the T-Chowk Flyover project on Tuesday. Member Engineering Nafasat Raza, Member Planning and Design Dr. Khalid Hafeez, Project Director, Consultants and other relevant officers were also present on this occasion.
During the visit, Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa inspected the ongoing construction work on the project. The Project Director and relevant officers briefed Chairman CDA on the progress of construction activities.

During the briefing, Chairman CDA was informed that comprehensive measures are being taken to ensure the early relocation of all utility services affected by the project. He was further apprised that the construction of 12 piles for the T-Chowk Flyover has been completed, while work on the 13th pile is currently underway. Chairman CDA was also informed that the casting of girders for the project has also commenced and round-the-clock construction activities are being carried out simultaneously on different sections of the project.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that the process of relocating utility services should be completed safely and at the earliest. He instructed that the project must be completed according to the stipulated timelines and schedule, while ensuring the highest standards of quality work.
Chairman CDA said that upon completion, the T-Chowk Flyover will provide signal-free travel convenience not only to the twin cities but also to passengers arriving from Lahore and Punjab. He emphasized that round-the-clock construction work must continue to swiftly address all obstacles hindering the project’s progress.
Chairman CDA directed the consultants and resident engineers to ensure timely completion and high-quality standards of construction work on-site. He further added that this project will prove to be a significant milestone in resolving traffic issues in Islamabad/ Rawalpindi.
