Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, expressed his gratitude to the nation and religious scholars for observing a week of gratitude dedicated to Pakistan’s strong ties with Saudi Arabia. He announced that various events will be held this week to mark the Saudi National Day and celebrate the deep-rooted friendship between the two countries.
In a statement issued on Friday, the minister said these events would highlight the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia agreement and the enduring friendship between the two brotherly nations.
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf held discussions with religious leaders from different sects and thanked them for offering prayers for Pakistan and Saudi Arabia during Friday sermons. The minister also led a special prayer on the occasion of Friday prayers.
Sardar Muhammad Yousuf emphasized that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are pillars of the Muslim Ummah, stating that the strength of both countries is essential for the unity and strength of the entire Muslim world. He prayed for the long life and good health of the leadership of both nations.
He congratulated Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on the successful defense agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and commended the efforts of the armed forces, saying they have made Pakistan an impregnable fortress. “Now the entire Muslim Ummah will become invincible,” he added.
The minister also praised Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz as a visionary leader and acknowledged the invaluable efforts of the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, in strengthening bilateral ties.
