On September 24, Pakistani security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan, targeting elements of the India-backed terrorist group “Fitna Al-Khawarij,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated on Tuesday.

According to ISPR, the troops successfully neutralized the terrorist hideout, killing 13 militants affiliated with the group. A large cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered during the operation.

The eliminated terrorists were reportedly involved in numerous attacks in the region, including facilitating a suicide bombing in Daraban in December 2023, as well as orchestrating kidnappings, targeted killings, and attacks on government officials and innocent civilians.

ISPR added that a clearance and sanitization operation is ongoing in the area to eliminate any remaining threats. The statement reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain fully committed to eradicating India-sponsored terrorism and ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region.
