Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, successfully eliminating 17 Indian-supported militants affiliated with the outlawed group Fitna al-Khawarij.

According to an ISPR statement released on Saturday, the operation took place during the night of September 26-27 after receiving credible information about the presence of militants in the area.

During the operation, security forces effectively surrounded the militants’ hideout, resulting in the killing of all 17 insurgents. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain militants, who were involved in multiple terrorist attacks against security forces and law enforcement agencies, as well as the killing of innocent civilians.

A sanitation operation is ongoing in the region to eliminate any remaining Indian-supported militants. Pakistan’s security forces remain fully committed to eradicating the menace of Indian-supported terrorism from the country.
