Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has directed the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT) to conduct a thorough review of all ongoing development projects across the province to ensure strict accountability and transparency.

Chairing a meeting on the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) on Monday, the Chief Minister expressed serious concern over substandard and incomplete development schemes, following a performance report presented by CMIT.

“The public funds belong to the people, and not a single penny will be allowed to go to waste,” CM Bugti said firmly. He warned that poor quality work or negligence in development projects will not be tolerated.

He instructed that strict action be taken against officers and contractors found responsible for poor or incomplete projects. “The accountability process will be made stricter and more transparent,” he added.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the provincial government will not allow anyone to misuse public resources or show negligence in executing public welfare projects. He further directed CMIT to begin on-ground inspections of all development schemes, starting with his own constituency, Baikr.

CM Bugti stressed that any officials or contractors found negligent in projects meant for public benefit would face strict disciplinary action. “CMIT must perform its duties without any pressure or influence,” he said. “Every rupee is a public trust, and betrayal of that trust is absolutely unacceptable.”
