The Abu Dhabi Department of Government Enablement (DGE) has officially announced the complete implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across all government entities, marking a major milestone in the emirate’s digital transformation journey.
According to the UAE’s official news agency WAM, this development reflects the government’s ambitious vision to transition from traditional governance to a more modern, automated, and personalized public service system. The DGE will showcase the groundbreaking TAMM 4.0 platform at GITEX Global 2025, describing it as the world’s most advanced AI-native government platform.
TAMM 4.0 is designed to understand and anticipate the key life events of citizens, delivering proactive, automated, and personalized services without the need for conventional applications and forms. This platform incorporates advanced features such as:
- Predictive service delivery using machine learning
- Multilingual contextual AI-based assistance
- Preemptive decision-making for routine approvals and inspections
These capabilities significantly reduce repetitive tasks for citizens and allow government employees to focus more on human-centric services.
- Over 100 AI-based projects have been fully deployed across more than 40 government departments.
- AI systems are now capable of automatically detecting life events and triggering relevant services for citizens.
- Intelligent compliance systems analyze business activities in real time to provide instant guidance.
- Demand forecasting and smart workforce deployment are now enabled through machine learning.
- AI services are accessible in 15+ languages, enhancing inclusivity and accessibility.
In a unique move to blend culture with technology, the DGE has launched AI Majalis, traditional-style gatherings where residents are educated on the responsible use and practical benefits of AI. These initiatives aim to foster community engagement and tech literacy.
Abu Dhabi has trained 95% of its 30,000+ government employees in AI, focusing not only on technical skills but also on the ethical use of technology. Every government department now has a Chief Data and AI Officer to oversee implementation, governance, and innovation.
The emirate’s Digital Strategy 2025–2027 outlines its goal to become the world’s first fully AI-native government by 2027. Backed by a 13 billion AED investment, the strategy is built upon five core pillars:
- Full adoption of sovereign cloud technology
- Integration of AI into every government service
- Data-driven decision-making
- Unified digital governance framework
- Robust cyber security infrastructure
This strategy goes beyond mere digitization — it represents a complete transformation of the government model, emphasizing predictive, seamless, and intelligent services for citizens, businesses, and residents alike.
Abu Dhabi is setting a global benchmark in digital governance, where cutting-edge technology and traditional values converge to build a smarter, more inclusive future.
