Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the leadership and people of the People’s Republic of China on the occasion of its 76th National Day. In a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office on Wednesday, the Prime Minister expressed pride in Pakistan’s brotherly relations with China and conveyed his hopes for continued peace, prosperity, and success for the Chinese nation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the day marks not only the celebration of China’s remarkable national journey but also acknowledges the country’s role in global peace, stability, and development. He praised President Xi Jinping’s visionary and exemplary leadership, under which China has achieved milestones in economic progress and social advancement that serve as a beacon of inspiration for the world.
Highlighting the depth of Pakistan-China friendship, the Prime Minister described the relationship as an “unbreakable and eternal bond,” strengthened over time through mutual trust, sacrifices, and sincerity. He emphasized that this enduring partnership is a guarantee of peace, development, and prosperity for future generations.
Reflecting on his recent visit to China, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif termed it highly productive and significant. He noted that during the visit, historic investment agreements worth billions of dollars were signed at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit and B2B conferences. He also reiterated the importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which he described as a flagship joint economic project that has now entered its second phase.
Concluding his message, the Prime Minister expressed confidence that Pakistan and China will continue to achieve new milestones in friendship and strategic partnership in the years ahead.
