Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has lauded the dignified participation of Pakistani nationals in the “Global Freedom Flotilla” headed to Gaza, calling for their immediate and safe return.
In a message shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, the Prime Minister acknowledged the efforts of several Pakistani citizens including Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, Mazhar Saeed Shah, Wahaj Ahmad, Dr. Usama Riaz, Ismail Khan, Syed Aziz Nizami, and Fahad Ishtiaq, among others, for taking part in this major humanitarian mission in line with principles of compassion and human dignity.
“This initiative reflects the peace-loving aspirations of the Pakistani people, their commitment to justice, and their deep desire to assist those in need,” said the Prime Minister.
He reaffirmed the Government of Pakistan’s support for the principles of respect for human life, safe access, and uninterrupted humanitarian aid. Prime Minister Sharif expressed strong concern for the safety and well-being of the Pakistani participants and emphasized the government’s full efforts for their secure and dignified return.
“We stand with our citizens and are praying and working tirelessly for their safety, dignity, and swift return home,” he stated.
