U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the war in Gaza has come to an end and expressed hope for lasting peace in the region. Addressing a Cabinet meeting, Trump revealed that he is traveling to Egypt to sign the ceasefire agreement.

Trump praised Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt for playing crucial roles in facilitating the Gaza ceasefire, expressing gratitude to all three nations. “I have stopped seven wars so far, and this is the eighth war that has come to an end,” he stated.

The President confirmed that the ceasefire agreement signing will take place in Egypt, after which reconstruction efforts in Gaza will commence immediately. Trump added that the recent attack on Iran was necessary to make the agreement possible, but now Iran is ready to work toward peace.

“We will cooperate with Iran to bring stability to the region,” he said. Trump also announced that the release of hostages is expected by Monday or Tuesday, marking the first tangible outcome of the peace process
