CDA Launches Major Recovery Drive: Defaulters Warned to Clear Dues by June 30, 2025.Muhammad Ali Randhawa

In line with the directions of Chairman CDA, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and DG Civil Defence Muhammad Ali Randhawa an important meeting was held at CDA Headquarters under the chairmanship of Acting Chairman Talat Mehmood. The meeting was attended by Member Environment, DG Recovery, DG Building Control, DG Planning, DG Resources, Head of Treasury CDA, CO, MCI, Deputy DG Enforcement and Director DMA.

During the meeting, the CDA Finance Wing gave a detailed briefing about the authority’s financial position. It was informed that a high-level committee headed by DG Recovery, CDA has been formed to recover all outstanding dues in coordination with relevant CDA formations. The committee has prepared a comprehensive action plan for recovering property charges, development charges, water charges, outstanding installments of commercial/residential plots acquired in CDA auctions, transfer fees and other charges. All resources will be utilized recover outstanding dues/charges as per law so that recovered dues can shall be spent on Islamabad’s development, prosperity and beautification.

It was informed in the meeting that citizens who have outstanding dues with various CDA formations have been asked to immediately clear their dues/liabilities. Otherwise, fines/penalties will be imposed on defaulters’ properties and the strict action will be taken as per law after June 30, 2025. Such properties may also be sealed or auctioned as per law. Therefore, CDA has urged the public in their own best interest to clear their all outstanding dues before June 30, 2025 at CDA’s One Window Facilitation Center. Otherwise, names of defaulters along with details of properties will be published in newspapers which may damage the repute and image for which CDA will not be held responsible.

On Chairman CDA’s instructions, the One Window Facilitation Center will remain open from 9 AM to 9 PM to facilitate citizens in paying their pending dues and installments. This will help citizens avoid penalties and legal action after June 30, 2025.

As per the clear instructions of Chairman CDA, legal action will be taken against individuals or institutions who default on their due payments. It may be noted that Chairman CDA, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and DG Civil Defence Muhammad Ali Randhawa are personally supervising all matters to ensure immediate recovery of CDA’s outstanding dues.
