Ayub Mariani, President of the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, issued a statement on the occasion of 10th Muharram, Youm-e-Ashura, paying rich tribute to the immense sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).
“The tragedy of Karbala teaches us never to bow before oppression and tyranny, and to always raise our voice against falsehood,” stated Mariani. He emphasized that “to confront the challenges facing our nation, it is crucial to demonstrate selflessness, sacrifice, and unity.” Imam Hussain’s sacrifice, he added, imparts the lesson of putting aside personal interests for the betterment of society and humanity.
President Ayub Mariani further remarked, “The life of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) teaches us to face every difficulty on the path of truth with courage and steadfastness, and to not hesitate to lay down our lives if necessary.” He highlighted that the firmness and resolve of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions serve as an inspiration to tackle contemporary challenges. “Youm-e-Ashura not only reminds us of sorrow and grief but also instills the lesson of standing firm against injustice, supporting the truth, and making every kind of sacrifice for the higher values of Islam,” Mariani concluded.
