Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi Meets Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malki: Focus on Strengthening Bilateral Relations
Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi held a significant meeting today with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malki. During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, bilateral cooperation, investment opportunities, and ways to further enhance relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia across various key sectors.
The meeting highlighted the deep-rooted historical, religious, and economic ties between the two brotherly countries. Both leaders agreed that these relations play a crucial role in ensuring the prosperity and development of their respective nations. Minister Abbasi emphasized that Saudi Arabia is a vital strategic partner for Pakistan and stressed the importance of taking this partnership to new heights.
Minister Abbasi acknowledged the significant contribution of millions of Pakistani workers in Saudi Arabia through remittances, which he termed a key pillar of Pakistan’s economy. He also underlined the importance of religious and cultural ties, pointing to the annual pilgrimage of Hajj and Umrah by Pakistani citizens as a symbol of the strong spiritual connection between the two nations.
The Minister particularly emphasized enhancing cooperation in the railway sector, encouraging investment and trade partnerships. He noted that development in railway infrastructure could significantly boost both economies and strengthen regional trade.
Ambassador Nawaf reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s development and expressed his country’s willingness to expand collaboration in all areas. He reiterated the importance of boosting investment, strengthening trade relations, and working together on public welfare initiatives.
Minister Abbasi concluded by stating that the Pakistan-Saudi relationship goes beyond bilateral diplomacy and is rooted in shared brotherhood and mutual interests.
